Satori is a Japanese word consisting of the characters for 'mind' and 'myself.' Satori is the spiritual goal of Zen Buddhism. The Chinese version of this word is wu. Satori means individual enlightenment, or a flash of sudden awareness. Satori is also an intuitive experience. Brief experiences of enlightenment are called kenshos. The feeling of satori is that of infinite space.
